This exclusive Vari-Pact selector button (see inset) lets you choose four different settings of impact power, from light to heavy. When used with an electronic foot control, you may vary the impacts down to almost 60 and up to 1800 per minute. The resulting cutting action is similar in appearance to conventional hammer and chisel work.

its introduction in 1992, our MagnaGraverŽ II is the most versatile and economical powered engraving tool in wide use today. The four precision interchangeable collets accept most all gravers, inexpensive 1/16", 3/32", 1/8" lathe bits, round blanks, and wood carving chisels. Proudly made by us in the USA, all needle and ball-bearings and fully machined throughout of finest materials for a lifetime of use. Engraving hobbyists, professionals, production workers and jewelers, stone setters, carvers, tool and die makers and others find our MagnaGraverŽ to be the most cost-effective tool in its class.

We have satisfied users in all 50 States and most foreign countries. As with all our impact tools, this handpiece operates to its full potential when used with the standard two-speed, gear head flexible shaft motor. This all ball-bearing, high torque motor is available from us as well as most of the larger tool supply houses. Another owner plus occurs when the engraving handpiece is replaced by a rotary handpiece, and used for grinding, polishing, buffing, carving, drilling, and sharpening. The standard QD couplings allow this change in seconds.

Our MagnaGraverŽ, in use worldwide since 1979 by many thousands of engravers and craftsmen,

is still the most inexpensive engraving tool for serious use. This entry level engraving handpiece has all of the desirable features of the MG II with the exception of interchangeable collets. Uses standard 1/8" round shanked gravers as well as 3/32" square high-speed, cobalt, and carbide gravers. This model may also be retrofitted any time to either the MG II above, and/or the Vari-Pact option shown at top. Gunmakers use the MagnaGraver for decorative engraving, metal checkering, stippling, solder clean-up, rib and ramp finish, stock carving, inlays, and inletting. Jewelry workers find it great for stone setting, monograms and lettering, florentine work, relief carving, template design, and background texturing. Tool and die makers use it for deburring, pattern making, crevice clean up, checkering and knurling on irregular surfaces.
